Counting today...we only have 9 days until the 2nd Tate Music Group Artist of the Year Contest! We had another meeting today and the excitement is building. It has been an incredible year for all of us here at TMG...and for Jeff Chandler (last year's winner). I can't wait to see who wins this one...and what God has in store for their music.
I am also excited about our emcee for the evening - Dove Award winning artist, Clay Crosse. Clay is an incredible singer and entertainer...and has an incredible career of music and ministry. It will be excited to have him as a part of our contest...and perhaps sing a little something...who knows...

tate music group...new year, new music
It is the beginning of a new year and we are gearing up for the Tate Music Group Artist of the Year contest. It is an incredible event...which will end with 3 TMG artists/groups performing live in front of a panel of incredibly connected music industry professionals...and a lively studio audience. It's a great night of great music.
That got me thinking about some of the music that may or may not make it to the finals. We have so many great artists and I want to take a moment to share some of their work with you. These are some of our staff's favorites here at Tate Music Group.

tate music group...voices of glory
It has been a very busy few weeks here at Tate Music Group...as I am sure it was for everyone else. The holidays are a wonderful time of year...but there is always so much going on. That is certainly the case here at TMG. Of course, we have been very busy working on the upcoming Artist of the Year contest (more on that in a later post). It is going to be a great event...once again!
Today, however, I wanted to share the exciting news about one of our newest signed artists - Voices of Glory. They came on board in December and we are so excited to have them as a part of our family. Some of you may be familiar with them - they gained a large following and great exposure by making it to the Top 5 of America's Got Talent.

Last week, one of the most exciting things happened with Tate Music Group...we started offering artists the choice of a fully designed website or professional, 30 second commercial videos. This is an incredible opportunity for our artist...and it completely gives them the upper hand when it comes to getting their music in front of people.
Let me share with you what our marketing department has to say about this new offer.
Chris Rutherford writes - "Tate Music Group Now offers a brand new service to all TMG artists. We are now creating and producing Viral Commercials that will help promote the artist, album and single.
Viral videos in themselves can be used in a number of ways to promote an artists music, from being uploaded to their MySpace page, to being played before a performance, and even going straight to YouTube and other video sites. Tate Music Groups team of Multimedia Producers will build the Viral Commercial around the artist’s music, using their photos and album artwork to capture potential consumers and build excitement and visibility for the music.
Not only do we hand over the video to our artist in order for them to use as they see fit but Tate Music Group also guarantees National and Regional TV exposure on major music TV networks (MTV, MTV2, VH1, CMT, BET, FUSE...).
